To Youko-san in heaven.
My mother said this to me a while ago. As I am right now, it's like a child raising a child... I think that's exactly it. I'm a child who only sees what's in front of him and things on the surface. That's why, when my parents told me to move back to their home, I didn't realize what Koharu-chan really wanted. I wanted to put Koharu-chan's feelings first, but it wasn't until I saw her drawing that I realized her true intentions... What my mother did, she did with an air of "pushing someone full of only his own views". Just how much had my mother been worrying about me... I didn't see even a tiny bit of that.
I think it was for sure because I'm always at a loss and unable to take the first step that I lost sight of the essence of it all. Raising Koharu-chan in this apartment too, it wasn't just for simple reasons like "because Youko-san wanted to live here" or "because Koharu-chan is my child". Living together in a place where we can feel Youko-san is true happiness for both Koharu-chan and I. I became so preoccupied with the practical issues before my eyes that I might have lost sight of "the most important things". But, Koharu-chan made me remember.... so now I can say this with confidence.
It's true happiness for me to live together with Youko-san and Koharu-chan. So let's live together from this point on too, just the three of us.
