Shocking news for LDG... kesian...
"Lee Dong-gun抯 younger brother (21) was murdered by twoChinese teenagers (18) at Sydney抯 World Square about 1am today inSydney, Australia yesterday.
Two eighteen year old teenagers stabbed Lee Dong-gun抯 youngerbrother and his friend, identified as Song because they thought thatLee and Song were looking down at them. Lee died almost instantly andSong is currently in critical conditions.
The argument is believed to have begun at a Hungry Jack抯 restaurant on the corner of Liverpool and George streets.
The defendants were caught an hour after the crime and Lee Dong-gun and his family quickly flew to Sydney to identify the body.

Lee Dong-gun brings home his brother抯 ashes

Proceeding with proper funeral arrangements, Lee Dong Gun returned to Korea from Sydney Australia, bringing with him the urn containing the cremated ashes of his younger brother Lee Joon Yub (21).
Lee Joon Yub was murdered on March 21st in Sydney in a fight with two Chinese hoodlums, Ivan Lee and Michael Wong who were later arrested for murder. Both men are rumored to be associated with an underworld crime organization.
The urn will be housed in the mourning hall of Samsung Medical Center for 4 days so that formal respects can be paid to the body. Catholic mass will be observed for the body on March 31st.
Also in mourning attendance was Han Ji Hye, Lee Dong Gun抯 former girlfriend. It抯 touching to see that there are no sour feelings between the two exes.
A funeral was held for Lee Dong-gun抯 brother at St. John抯 College Chapel (below) in the University of Sydney on March 26th.Lee Dong-gun is going through a tough year so far - break up with actress girlfriend Han Ji-hye in January and now the tragic death of his younger brother.

Lee Dong Gun is returning to work

Lee Dong Gun, the mourning actor who recently lost his brother, is returning to work next month. He will start his single promotional activities in Japan and release his first Japanese album in May. While he is busy building his musical career in Japan, Lee Dong Gun will also star in drama Every Night (trans:밤이면 밤마다) with Lovely Samsoon抯 Kim Sunah.
I guess becoming a workaholic is Lee Dong Gun抯 way of coping with such a huge loss and we hope that the rest of the year turns out better for the poor actor.
Every Night will air on June 17th, after Yi-San抯 finale. |
