KAT-TUN WILL HOLD A 7 DAYS CONTINUOUS PERFORMANCE AT TOKYO DOME FROM MAY 15 TO MAY 21
January 22, KAT-TUN announced that they would have Tokyo Dome concerts from May 15 to 21, 7 days run (*without holiday).
They are widely renewing their own Dome concert record, 4 days run.
They will plan to bring 385,000 audience in total 7 days.
They are planning the changeable stage with a theme of PLANET on each day for example Friday will have Venus, and 6 members are full of the expectation and "we want to make this to be recorded both as record and in one's memory".
KAT-TUN will occupy Tokyo Dome.
Titled as "The first try in the history of the live concerts! Immortal 1 week run in Tokyo Dome (tentative)", and they decided to have 7 days run.
This is the challenge nobody did before, the renewing their own record succeed in last August, the 4 days ruin.
Kazuya Kamenashi mentioned about his determination that "we will think well about something totally new and we 6 will cooperate to make anything good".
They are not just having 7 days concert.
From May 15 Friday to 21 Thursday, they are planning the stage theme related to the planet related to each name of the day.
The highlights of Johnny's concert are the sets and equipments by the newest technique such as flying and water art showing letters, and according to the staff, "we will show the newest weapon which will become the synonymous with KAT-TUN in the future. With the (KAT-TUN) member we are having 5 plans".
Each day has the 3 hours stage from 6:30pm, and every time they will change the plan.
For preparation and cleaning, they are reserving long time from May 11 to 23.
KAT-TUN has done 11 concerts in total until now and they brought 605,000 people.
This 1 week run has been planned since 2 years ago to have the new record.
Johnny Kitagawa, the president of their office, who planned this said with full of energy "to wipe the bad economic condition, the world of the entertainment shoud make the records".
As they are expecting 385,000 audience in 7 days, "Woodstock Music and Art Festival (open-air concert in New York in August 1969) brought 300,000 audience in 1 day, but we might be winning. We want to win Obama (brought 2,000,000 audience for his inauguration ceremony) as well".
Later they will release singles in these 2 months, 'ONE DROP' on February 11 and 'RESCUE' on March 11.

rasa2nya takkan ada DVD punya! Johnny's lain yg seangkatan ngan dia pun byk gak jadi leads butai, takde pun apa2...lagipun nak banding ke'gemes'an Ueda, mmg kureng la kalau nak banding ngan lain yg pernah kuar butai jugak (except budak2 NEWS mcm Koyama & Shige yg sah2 la Ueda lagi femes )...tapi rasanya Subaru, Hina, Yasu, semuanya pun lagi ramai fans dr Ueda, tapi takde pun kuar DVD apa2... |

news: idols

Popular Johnny's Jimusho idol group KAT-TUN are to become the first artists to play seven straight nights at the Tokyo Dome. The concerts will be during the baseball season, so they had to fit into the schedule of the Yomiuri Giants who are based at the venue. With four days of preparations and rehearsals, the venue will be taken over for 11 days. The seven shows, on May 15-21, will feature a different theme each night, probably in the hope that repeat attendance will help shift the 385,000 tickets. The one-week run will extend the record of four consecutive nights held by Sting (in 1988) and KAT-TUN themselves. The six-member group are all in their early 20s and age-wise they are one step behind fellow Johnny's artists Arashi.
