If you watched the final perrformance show last nite, you might have noticed couple of shots on this one beautiful girl who's singing along to Lukas' Headspin. That's abe Luke's girl (aka my trisam partner wakaka). She's hawt! But i still like to pair abe Luke with Brooke, dunno why!

Try to listen to the studio version of these two songs @ Rock Star Supernova (new name) myspace as well. They're really good.

According org yg pergi finale taping , Suaveporn (as they're famously known in other forums) memang pilih Lukas all along tapi Dilana perasan ingat dia yg menang sebab T.Lee said yg dpt highest votes menang which was Lukas but Dilana ingat dia cos she wasnt called out for early B3 . The early B3 was studio audience nyer votes bukan worldwide. After the voting window was opened , Lukas got the highest number of votes. So they had to edit "that" part yg Dilana excited ingat dia menang tu. Tu yg nampak kat tv kita muka Dilana tetiba nampak ccam monyok jer....Besides Tommy Lee's head over heels in love with Lukas :bgrin: |

Hehe. Sian Toby, da thundah from down yundah.
When Toby sang "Be yourself" i thot it sounded lame & bubble-gum-ish..but with abe Luke's interpretation & vocals, this song as well "Its all love" sounded so damn good , metal-ish & current/edgier (especially loved the "rapping/talkin" bit on Be Yourself, sexy like hell haha). Ii'm not expecting them to produce hard rock /metal music cos SN made it clear from day 1 that they are not heavy metal band. I couldn't imagine if any other rockers'd do a better job than Abe Luke. Can you imagine if it's Dilana.. But then again it boils down to personal taste and preference.
Melody/lyrics appreciation is subjective. Some people listen to any songs that are melodically good to their ears even if the lyrics are awful. Then again, some people interpret certain lyrics as good but others think eitherwise. Also, there're songs with excellent lyrics but failed melodically. So one can go without the other to a certain extent. Where my music buying decision is concerned , lyrics are not the most important factor so long they're not super lame a-la Dilana's "Thong" song song hehe. If the songs sound good, match my taste (which is wide-range) and have decent lyrics , i'm willing to invest my money into their music. I dont really go deep into the lyrics and analyse every single word unlike Mr.Philosophy, abe pessoa haha (Dude!! Where art thou? Aren't you gonna congratulate us for Lukas winning :bgrin:.).
Anyways, i'm loving these 2 songs already and with abe Luke's "Headspin" plus his other original (hopefully "Lonely Ones" :pray + " Let It SHine" + SN other track shown in the final songwriting clinic (provided they keep the melody written by Abe Luke), i can safely say that its gonna be a good album from SN. And i'm looking forward to buy the cd when they release it in November.
Its gonna be a good one-cd-one-year gig & huge exposure for Abe Luke . Last year i was happy when Marty Casey came in second cos i thot he's too good for INXS and would do better with his own band. I thot wrong. And only recently did I realize that he never actually made it far (as in songs going on top of the international/world charts., world tour etc) as I hoped for. His status remains relatively status quo-doing a lot of local gigs and opening for big acts, though more than he did pre-RS but that抯 as far as there抯 to it.Other rockers fell into oblivion less than 3-6 months after RS NXS was over. So I agree with certain posters from other forums that those who confidently said that their fave contestants would be better off losing were delusional. How many runners-up of any reality shows made it big so far? Zilch. If I got it wrong , point me the factual/statistical evidence. Kesimpulannya , winning is definitely better for abe Luke (and JD Fortune). Think the huge exposure & SN抯 contacts /networks that he can take advantage of for him/ RE once the "one-year contract" is over. Yg paling penting, we (especially me hehe) get to see more of him after this.
But that抯 just me , YMMV. :bgrin:
