(Seoul=Yonhap News) KimGaHwe reporter = HaJiWon and JoInSung have maintained a special friendship since the end of their drama “What Happened in Bali.”
In the drama, they shared a sorrowful but destructive love but following this, they’ve continued to contact and give each other support.
Recently, HJW gave JIS, who’ll begin shooting Spring Day soon, a phone call of encouragement. Even though the burden would be great, she told him he would do well. After hearing about the drama’s content, she also gave him advice on having to change his image from his previous one of a pretty boy.
She grew apart from SoJiSub from “What Happened in Bali.” HJW said, “I’m a little introverted myself and JiSub seems to be that way too. After a while, we naturally lost contact with each other.”
But JIS, out of gratitude and also shared connections with a fellow actor, converses with HJW frequently.
JIS said in an interview after finishing “...Bali” that in working with HJW he really understood what “synthesis” in acting really was all about. The reason my acting was good was because of my superior JiWon’s influence.
HJW also acted with someone 3 years her junior in the movie, “Criminal case” (?), KangDongWon, born in 81. JIS is also 3 years younger, and KimJaeWon from “My Love Ssagaji” is also 3 years younger.
“These days I’m working a lot with male actors who are younger than me. I’m 27 in Korean age (26 non-Korean age) so I guess that really does make me old,” she laughs.
About working with ease with younger actors, “I’m a little on the blunt side. When I meet those with more experience, I feel a bit awkward, but when I’m working with someone younger who calls me “noona”, I feel more at ease being the ‘adult’.
