Smart move if you bawak beg kosong. I went there with 2 bags. first bag isi stok makanan untuk 3 minggu, second bag isi pampers anak. Stok baju, i dah pesan awal2 kat my husband, bawak 2 pasang jer, the rest beli kat sana. My hubby kata, if tak der baju nanti how? I cakap, dont worry. Primark ada. Bukan pernah pergi Primark pun tapi sebab atnya pada those yang dah pernah pergi kata Primark ni dirt cheap, so i was willing to take the risk. Pergi sana pun tak bawak stroller. Sampai sana terus beli stroller Mothercare Jive tu. 29 pound jer...hehehehe... balik Malaysia, dari 2 beg asal kejadian, terus beranak jadi 5 beg....hihihihihihih..... |

i visited Manchester for 4 days. Best. Go to Wimslow Street, kedai makanan halal melambak kat situ. Paling kurang nak dekat 50 kedai makanan halal kat situ. Try kedai aiskrim Moon Light. Sedap wooorrrr...Makanan pun murah. Kebab order 1, tapi portion besar, baru 3 pound, makan dengan husband time buka tak habis, bungkus bawak ke sahur. Pun tak habis. Walhal sharing. so imagine kan la kebesaran portion kebab tu.
I stayed at Copthorne Manchester Hotel. Book thru booking. com. 3 hari baru 150 pound. Masa hari i check in tu, kat reception punya tempat buat "todays rate : 250 pound". GIler mahal. Nasib baik ada booking.com. Hotel ni dekat dengan tram, Stop kat Salford Quays. Walking distance to Old Trafford stadium. i didnt take the hospitality ticket (i thinkit's a bit pricey). So what i did was, to register myself as an official member (30pound), then put in my ballot to watch the game. I ni bukanla fanatik bola tapi sebab dah terkawin dengan orang fanatik bola, layankan jer la husbandnya. Bought 3 tickets, duk kat South east punya tempat, i think good view. Sangat best watch the EPL game. Man U beat West Ham 3-0. But i have to mention this, West Ham punya semangat through out the game memang sangat2 bagus. Despite losing but they sang songs non stop, like really non stop dari awal sampaila ke akhir game.
The police yang jaga stadium masa game tu pun bagus. They dont allow provocation from any of the supporters. Kalau ada yang macam nak provoke jer, diorang akan tegur. Polis berkuda diorang ramai jugak yang perempuan. Cun jugak. Memang best la dapat watch game ni. The environment, the atmosphere, memang lain.
Kalau kat Malaysia pemain buat silap, spectators maki, hoi sana, hoi sini. Kat sana no, they will clap to bagi semangat to the players. Then bila bola dah dekat dengan gawang gol, bunyi kerusi bangun & duduk tu serentak, sederap, sangar synchronized, memang best.
i've watched Man U lawan Malaysia kat Stadium bukit Jalil, but kat OT, the feeling is different. |

Just to share, since i learn a lot fron this thread, it's time to return the favour to those who's planning to go there in future. Kat London, upon arrival, i stayed at Easyhotel (yang sefamily dengan Easyjet tu). Although i ada baca komen dalam tripadvisor kata the rooms are small and tak suitable for claustradophobic people, but personally i feel comfortable. Maybe it depends on one's expectation. space is secondary to me, yang penting cleanliness. I duk dengan my hubby & 2 years old son, siap boleh masak dengan rice cooker lagi & sembahyang atas lantai, so it's enuff for me.
I stayed at easyhotel Paddington & i highly recommend this hotel, if you're looking for a hotel near the central area. 5 tapak ke depan dah ada bas ke Oxford Street (my friend kata dia jalan kaki jer ker Oxford Street). Then nak ke St Pancrass Eurostar tu pun bleh naik bas dari situ. Kedai halal sebelah jer hotel tu. Then Subway 2 minit dari situ pun halal jugak. Sebab masa i pergi time puasa, tempat makan kat situ bukak till 4-5 am. first day sampai kitorang jet lag, membongkang sampai 2am, jadinya hari tu kitorang puasa 26 jam. Bangun terus siap gi makan kat kedai Lebanese kat situ, jalan kaki jer.... |

And last 2 days before departure to Malaysia, i stayed at Tunehotel yang di bawah Air Asia. Yang ni pun recommended gak. Sebab hotel ni baru jer umur 4 hari by the time i pergi, so confirm la bersih. Jumpa a few Malaysians kat situ.
Location wise, very strategic. Naik tube stop kat Lambeth North. Kuar station, terus nampak Tune Hotel on your left. Kedai depan (chicken Cottage), halal. Senang nak makan. Chinese & Thai food pun ada tapi tak der tanda halal so i'm not sure la. Ada bus straight to Regent Street, and from Oxford Street ada bus balik ke hotel (bus 159). Walking distance to London eye. Bleh nampak dari hotel. |

one thing i notice about British people, when you ask for directions, when they explain to you, they will tell how long it takes to reach your destination eg :
" go straight, then after about 2 minutes, turn left, walk for another 5minutes till you see a white building"..bla bla...
Then Kat Manchester, i feel the people are even more friendlier, when they greet you they'll say like
"Hi mate/mike or something that sounds like that". Macam dah kenal 10 tahun....

cn7: glad you stayed at easyhotel... i've stayed there before and don't mind the small space sebab seharian keluar berjalan. balik bilik pun untuk solat, mandi & tido jer so to me memang berbaloi duduk kat sini... that's why i recommended the hotel as it's cheap, clean and convenient :)

another accomodation all over england yang boocik rasa worth it duduk is travelodge. bilik dia luas sikit dari easyhotel.
kalau dah rancang lama untuk ke london or anywhere in UK you can register kat travelodge website untuk dapat special price and discounts duduk kat travelodge ni ataupun untuk notify u for sale... lagi awal book dapat lagi murah harga satu bilik untuk satu malam. travelodge ni rajin gak buat sale during summer & autumn so kena rajin check website dia... boocik pernah dapat rate duduk kat edinburgh for GBP9 satu malam untuk satu bilik double! lagi murah dari duduk hostel :)

my cousin bru gi futher study kt canterbury last 2 day ago.... i tot canterbury msti dkt dgn london kan... dia ckp skrg musim luruh but dh terasa sejuk... n currency diorg pn mcm dh jatuh sket so die dpt la tukar lebih2 sket...ye ke.

Ada tak sesape yg pernah pegi holiday kat Liverpool... stay kat mane ek?? mcm manchester tu sy tahu nak stay kat mane, lg pun mknan halal pun byk kat sana... tp kat liverpool ni sy kureng tahu sikit.... nak cari hotel kat liverpool yg lebih kurang mcm manchester yg dkt dgn mkanan halal....

Naik qatar. Nanti kasik comment on Asia X punya new seats ya..kot2 next trip ada rezeki leh naik airasia plak.
Cabmahal tambah pepagi ..naik train je murah . cuba check paddingtonstation (dekat dgn ur hotel) to stansted kena tukar2 train tak.
