I see. But nowadays I reduce meat intake already. Poor animals.

I heard from my brother people in China eat cats also. He saw them thomping the kitten's head at the wet market. urggh.

They eat farm rats also. The deep fried thigh looks delicious, looks like chicken drum stick.

Eating meat is part of humans diet since the existence of human.
I don't think I will ever be a vegetarian again. I love eating meat.

I feel a bit geli when I touch raw animal meat like chicken meat...

Sad, all the stray dogs outside my apartment had died mysteriously in the last few days. I inspected their bodies, no signs of external injury. I suspected they have been poisoned by the MPPJ.

hey .. ive got one questions here... can i becoming vegetarian...right now... i mean... is that dangerous for stomach.. ? or ive to take sometimes to adapt to it? tell me your experiences men..~

Note hate lar, just some disagreement on strict vegetarianism as the cornerstone in Buddhism. It's a good practice but not compulsory. If it helps a person in his practice, he can choose to be a vegetarian. It's eco-friendly and energy efficient.

Buddhism teaching has nothing to do with vegetarian. the vegeterian as mentioned is actually food for energy.
why food for energy? because without energy you cannot practice buddhism. this is one of the realization of the buddha while trying to obtain enlightenment(or in ur terms in just meditating)

So why the vegeterian with monks from china but that is a bit different becoz of the influence they get.

Ok some history. There was a migration of the buddhism( i dont know when) to china from India. That means the monk which came to india from china to learn buddhism and went back to china to teach and practise. (Yes, this ordeal sure take a long while). But, when the chinese monk who want to practice the buddhism found it hard initially becoz it is hard to get food. why? because in India(during the time of asoka), the monks would usually go for arms round(in ur term, taking a mangkuk and go around for food) and the local people would offer food (give for free) in return. This also help to earn some so called karma point, also, monks after getting energy can teach them what they have realized. and what happen back in china? the local chinese people in mainland china at that time treated arms round as begging for food. so, they dont offer. so monk want to makan ape? so chinese monk have to become vegeterian becoz they cannot kill for meat. so therefore, the buddhism in china all slowly slowly converted to vegeterian.

Being vegetarian have NOTHING to do with being Chinese or Indian. It has everything to do with Compassion and Mercy. Buddhism derive from Compassion and Mercy which is why Monks (REGARDLESS OF WHETHER THEY ARE CHINESE OR INDIANS) attend to practice vegetarian dietary.
