Hi All,
Please take note of the restaurant, Warung M.Nasir located at Killeney Road. Its just opposite hello@Orchard & next to the Killeny Kopitam. Was told tt the eatery serves alcoholic drinks.

Thank you for your email and concern on halal food.
Please be advised that Warung M Nasir is a Muslim owned eating establishment. As a Muslim owned eating establishment it is the moral and religious obligation of the owner to serve and sell food that is fit for Muslim consumption. However, if he does not served halal food and beverages, then he will face the consequences in thereafter.
Singapore is a secular state and not an Islamic state; hence the authority (Muis) cannot enforce or prosecute a Muslim who chooses to serve alcoholic beverages to their clients. Furthermore, there is! no legislation that prohibits a Muslim to serve or sell alcoholic beverages. Just like gambling for example, it is a sin for a Muslim to gamble but the authority cannot prosecute a Muslim who gambles. But we can educate a Muslim not to gamble through our religious session.
Yes, it would be ideal we can prohibit or prosecute a Muslim from serving alcoholic beverages in their eating establishment, but we also have to be practical and mindful of an individual rights in a multi religious and multi racial country like Singapore.
My advise to you is not to patronize the said eating establishment, if you are feel the owner is not sensitive to the dietary requirements of Muslim. At the same time let us "doa" for him to repent and cease selling alcoholic beverages to their clients.And also let "doa" for Allah swt guidance and protect all of us from wrong doing, as human being no one is perfect.

tu hari kat sokkabar melayu ada ceta gerai makcik ni kat kedai kopi desker/rowell road sana, jual nasik dan lauk bawean..
korang dari mustafa, about 100-200meters away je... |
