WINNER’s Taehyun to make his acting debut in web drama, “My Superstar Jidan”

Taking a break from WINNER’s activities, member Taehyun is confirmed to be making his acting debut through upcoming web drama, My Superstar Jidan.

On March 23rd, it was confirmed that Taehyun participated in the first filming day for the drama where he will play the role of an attractive movie star known to be flocked by girls. However, as filming for the drama is in progress, a broadcast date has not yet been finalised.

Since news of his casting were reported, fans have expressed their excitement over Taehyun’s role. The project will not only be his acting debut but also his first individual project since making his debut under YG Entertainment.

Meanwhile, Taehyun will rejoin WINNER as they prepare for their possible comeback initially scheduled for May. A possible reschedule is speculated due to BIGBANG’s comeback album delay.

Sandara Park and WINNER’s Kang Seung Yoon to Be a Couple in Upcoming Web Drama

Sandara Park, WINNER‘s Kang Seung Yoon, Kang Seung Hyun, and Jang Ki Yong have been casted for CJ E&M‘s upcoming web drama “We Broke Up” (tentative title).

On April 9, a representative from CJ E&M stated, “CJ E&M Digital Studio andYG K-Plus are producing web drama ‘We Broke Up’ as a collaborative project.”

The music romance web drama will be based on a Naver webtoon of the same name. It is a story about a couple who broke up and have to continue living in the same house. The drama will be released through CJ E&M Style Studio,YG Entertainment, and YG K-Plus’ digital platforms.

2NE1‘s Sandara Park will portray Noh Woo Ri who is an optimistic and bright female preparing to get a job. WINNER’s Kang Seung Yoon will act as Ji Won Young who is an indie band vocalist and works part-time jobs all night long. They will be the couple forced to continue living with each other after separating.

Model Kang Seung Hyun will be record producer Yoon Ni Na while model/actor Jang Ki Yong will be Seo Hyun Woo who was classmates with Ji Won Young (Kang Seung Yoon) and Noh Woo Ri (Sandara Park).

The director of successful web drama “Love Cells” Kim Yong Wan will be working on this web drama as well.

News Article: 150408 Taehyun’s Acting Debut, Teaser Release… Sweet chemistry with Seo Minji!

Nam Taehyun of boy group WINNER, who is challenging himself in acting, and actress Seo Minji display their sweet chemistry through the teaser photo.

On the morning of the 8th, MBCevery1 revealed the teaser photo of webdrama “Girl of 0AM”. In the photo, the male lead, Gong Jidan (Nam Taehyun) and female lead, Min Sera (Seo Minji) affectionately pose together.

The MBCevery1 webdrama “Girl of 0AM”, which will be broadcasted in May through MBCevery1 and a portal, is a fantasy romantic comedy music drama about the events that unfold at the noraebang/karaoke that the main character, Gong Jidan, coincidentally starts managing. The story will be about the fantastical story between Gong Jidan, who dreams to be a superstar, and Min Sera, the part-time worker who helps him.

In the newly released photo, Nam Taehyun and Seo Minji shyly express their feelings for each other underneath the teasing atmosphere. Curiosity arises towards the romance these two will show as they seem to be looking at each other but also not looking at each other.

A representative of the drama stated, “On the day for this shoot, Nam Taehyun and Seo Minji expressed their characters’ chemistry naturally as they smiled whenever their eyes met. It seems safe to tell the public to prepare themselves for the appearance of the new romantic-comedy-queen and romantic-comedy-king”.

Meanwhile, all filming for “Girl of 0AM” has ended and the webdrama will begin airing in the beginning of May.

Luminosity of IncleStellar

In astronomy, luminosity is the total amount of energy emitted by a star, galaxy, or other astronomical object per unit time.

And as you know, Inclestellar is the name of our ‘ocean’ given by the WINNER boys. Each Inner Circle represents a star, and when we are together we make it bright and luminous.

In line with this, we offer a project to give a chance to Inner Circle scattered globally to make our Inclestellar brighter and even more luminous through their love and support for WINNER.

“Luminosity of Inclestellar” will be our 1st Global Mass Incle Project aiming to unite global fanbases and give chances to INNER CIRCLE around the world to show their support. With the help of WINNER’s international fanbases, we aim to give WINNER a memorable support for their upcoming comeback in the name of GLOBAL INNER CIRCLE.

Main Supports

Luminosity Of Inclestellar consists of 2 main supports.

1. Streaming Support

As we know, digital points is so important to increase WINNER points to win on weekly music shows or year-end awards. With the help of WINNER THAI UNION, we will doing a mass streaming through Genie.

2. Ad Support in Korea

Many Korean fanbases have done this kind of support many times, and we are really thankful for that. However, we want to show our loves for the boys also, by giving a physical support. So, we planned to give an ad support in Korea in the name of GLOBAL INNER CIRCLE.

the support is either a SUBWAY BANNER or a WRAPPED BUS, depends on how much funds we can collect during this project.

Star Raising Project

For this project we came up with astronomical theme, Luminosity of Inclestellar. So, we created a scheme on how to donate wherein we collect STARS as the donation. We will collect a ‘STAR’ from Inner Circle around the world to make our Inclestellar bright.

1 ‘STAR’ costs $5 (in USD). Inner Circle can donate stars as much as they want, as follows
1 star = $5
2 stars = $10
5 stars = $25

Donation Period

This support project is for WINNER’s upcoming comeback. but since it still a mystery, we will open our first period of this star raising support from April 6th - May 6th.
