Yesterday was Day Two of filming for Kerana Karina. The location was gua.com.my抯 office in PJ. A total of 13 scenes were shot. Just in case you missed it, Kerana Karina is a 20-episode online series that revolves around singer Karina and the obstacles she faces in getting her second album out.
In between takes, GUA caught up with some of the cast members to see how shooting has been going.
Marsha AF
One expects the stress can be overwhelming when given the responsibility of carrying a whole show. But this Akademi Fantasia alumnus is taking it cool as a cucumber.
揑t抯 an honour to be offered this role. Unlike my past dramas, which can just be viewed in Malaysia, now people all around the world can watch it. I hope that it turns out okay.
揂cting was never something I imagined myself doing. My focus was always on music but now that I have this opportunity to show my versatility as an entertainer.擺/size]
As there are parallels between Sabahan lass Marsha and her character Karina, especially as both are singers, there have been few difficulties getting into character. Marsha抯 Bahasa Malaysia accent perhaps being the obvious stumbling block.

Marsha Londoh (as Karina, the singer)
Even a fourth place finish in Akademi Fantasia 3has not stopped Marsha from carving a name for herself in the Malaysianentertainment industry. Her sweet, girl-next-door demeanour coupledwith her singing (her debut album is coming out next year) and acting(have you seen Misi 1511?) talents have ensured a growing fanbase for the rising star.
Zizan Nin (Imran, a hot shot producer)
Zizan will be best remembered as the male lead in Pond抯 inventivecommercial, opposite the lovely Melissa Maureen. It later spawned a TVseries called Table for Two which starred both Zizan and Melissa.
Zally Hussain (as Huzir, a rich kid who抯 in love with Karina)
Lady Luck has been smiling on Zally (short for Razali) since his win on the reality talent show Audition in 2005. He抯 already released a mini album, Kau Yang Ku Tunggu (produced by none other than Datuk Ahmad Nawab), and acting offers have been pouring in. You may remember him from Susuk, Pesona Bintang, Janji 2 or Puteri Gunung Ledang The Musical. Sazzy Falak (as Sherina, Karina抯 cousin and manager)
An introduction is hardly necessary after all the interest she抯 been generating since her appearance on Gol & Gincu ... firstthe movie and then the series. Aside from acting, Sazzy is also a host,emcee, writer
