(I suppose some of you guys might be interested in reading someStill’s recaps. So I rewatched and recapped the first two epis. Since Iwas tight in time, only did Kim Bum’s part this time. )
Kim Bum’s very first scene opens with his chatting on the phone withNa Ban-suk while walking towards his studio at school. Seeminglyconfident and charismatic, he advises Ban-suk on blind dating–be moreattentive and gentle instead of making quirky and cheesy jokes, to showinterest in art and suggest a date without making a certain schedule,to send thank-you text message and show desire to meet her parents, andmoreover, not to call her or reply text message in the following days,in order to make the girl contact you first. He also suggests Ban-suknot worry about finding a girlfriend, because he states that the worldhas plentiful supply of women.
Back to his studio, he starts playing his electric guitar.Meanwhile, outside his studio, Lee Shin-young and the PD are preparingfor an interview. Disturbed by Min-jae’s guitar noisy, Shin-young,after knowing Min-jae ignores the PD’s dissuasion, decides to stop himby herself. Rushing into the studio with annoyance, Shin-young doesn’tinterrupt him but staring him playing the guitar. Min-jae notices herpresence and pauses.
Min-jae: What’s up? The studio is not open for visitors. Shin-young: I’ll really appreciate if you can stop playing the guitar for ten minutes , since we’re able to record our news report. Min-jae: Do you have to do it right here? The campus is big enough. Shin-young: because this building is sponsored by the corporate. It’s a report about school-corporate relations. Min-jae: So please record when I’m done with practicing. I cannot stop from here. Shin-young: Student? What year are you? Min-jae: I’m an old resuming student.
Shin-young signs: Okay. I’ll give you ten minutes. I also have something to do, so please give in and stop in
ten minutes.
Ten minutes later, Min-jae’s still playing the guitar. Shin-younggoes back to the studio in anger and asks him to stop. Yet, he totallyignores her. Shin-young comes back again with a pair of pliers in hand.She cuts and breaks his guitar cable cord. Jumping off his chair,Min-jae comes to Shin-young in irritation. Two people fiercely gaze ateach in silence. Suddenly, Shin-young rushes off. While following herout of the studio, Min-jae hurts his leg.
At Ban-suk’s hospital, Min-jae mentions Shin-young is a very sappywoman. Later, at home, his cellphone rings while he’s playing thepiano. He picks up the phone and it’s from his dad, who shows hisconcern for his son and asks if he’s at home. Min-jae sees through whathis dad is implying and jokes that he would leave the home for him andhis girlfriend next time.
The other day, Min-jae meets Shin Young again in class, whosubstitue teaches for her friend. During class, Shin Young asks forquestions. Min-jae raises his hand and requests for a break. Min-jaecomes up to Shin young during the break.
Min-jae: didn’t you want to apologize to me? Shin-young: You didn’t do anything right either. Min-jae: I was planning to go to your work place. Shin-young: Why didn’t you come? I prepared the cord for you. Min-jae: I didn’t want to put you in difficult situation. Never see you on tv. You’re probably no person at your work place. Shin-young: Are you always so rude? As a resuming student, you should know how to behave? Min-jae: So you broke my guitar cable? Shin-young: apologies for the cable thing. How about I buy you a new one? Min-Jae: Ha, that’s the reason I don’t like journalists, who always think they have privilege. Shin-young signs: I wish I could ask to meet your parents. Min-Jae signs as well: I wish I could ask to meet the network president.( he’s implying Shin-young’s boss) Shin-young: What year are you? How can you be so rude? Min-jae jokes: Why did you ask for this? Also wants my number?
Back to class, Min-jae states that he comes across some news scoopabout illegal selling of high-end electronic products and has collectedcertain amount of key information of the seller. Shin-young decides togo meet the sellers with Min-jae. As requested by Min-jae, Shin-youngdresses up as a college student. Cooperating with the police, the twosuccessfully help the investigators close the illegal factory. In thelibrary, Min-jae and Shin-young run into each other again. Min-jae asksher to his upcoming concert…
