Dog Eat Dog - Episode 7 Summary
Challenge: To create and implement a Dog Service Business and run it. At the end of the day, the team with the most profit wins.
Project Mgrs:
Apex - Jennifer M.
Mosaic - Wes
Summary:
Both teams came up with the dog washing idea
Apex jumped on it, got the supplies and started washing for $20 a wash
Mosaic wanted to incorporate the charity idea (as they had successfully with the Ice Cream Challenge.. However they had difficulty, and wasted a LOT of time, getting their first choice - the NYC Fire Department.
Wes got Andy on it and finally they found Kitty Kind, a cat shelter, who they could use as a charity for their dog service. (Do we all see the irony? Cause Trump did, but he didn't say "irony".)
After locking in Kitty Kind as their charity, Andy lost the cell phone. A problem? Yes. Insurmountable? No. How hard is it to call the cell phone and get the driver to come back with it?? Since they didn't show the team even trying - it leaves us wondering how hard they tried to fix the mistake.
Apex had a little tousle for control as Raj suggested heading the East side to drum up more business and Jennifer M. nixed it. But as the business dropped even further and Raj suggested it again, Jennifer reconsidered and sent Ivana and Chris to do dog massages for $1/minute. (I guess she didn't hear about Chris' customer service philosophy.)
Through out the task, Apex kept reinventing the services they offered - dog wash, dog massage, nail clipping. Unfocused or diversified - the results will tell the tail - oops - tale.
Over at Mosaic, Stacy attempted to get Wes to consider dog costumes, and even got him out shopping with her looking at cute little dresses and studded collars. (I will NOT make the comment that instantly comes to mind.) However, Stacy was unable to convince Wes that the ROI in investing $19-50 for a collar or $30 for a dog-costume was worth the expense. (Since she had already self-identified as "not a dog person", why did she think she knew what dog-owners would want? But that is another rant.)
Carolyn had some uncommonly harsh comments about Maria and her outfit - "looks like she's marketing herself" and Wes had a very insightful comment on himself - "if we win, I'll be a hero. If we lose, I'll be a jackass."
Results:
Apex - $307.41;
Mosaic $122.12
Winners: Apex
Reward: A meeting with Michael Bloomberg, the mayor of NYC, at Gracie Mansion.
Immunity for next episode:Jennifer M.
In the Boardroom: 3
Wes took Andy and Stacy R
Immune: Maria
Boardroom Antics:
When asked if he wanted to bring 2 or 3, Wes spelled it out - Kelly & Sandy did their jobs, Maria was immune, so he really only had 2 options to bring with him.
Andy got slammed for losing the phone.
Wes got slammed for leadership (though Trump's "I think you were a lousy leader" is getting a bit stale)
Stacy got slammed for complaining, not being able to sell her ideas, and always blaming the PM for her not being able to get her point across.
Stacy said "I would love to be PM. Give me the opportunity to lead a team." And Carolyn's predictable, and correct, reply was "you have to do that for yourself"... much like her comment to Sam in season 1 that you have to either earn respect or demand it, no one just gives it to you for nothing.

yeay!!! akhirnya..... patutnya dah lama stacy kena fired... seingat aku dia tak de contribute sangat utk team dia... asyik nak argue + dah tentu dia jer yg betul.... stuck up giler lak tu.... wes nak salam ngan dia tapi dia tanak... sib baik wes buat tak pedulik nak salam gak... dah mmg dia tak buat apa |
