i'm fedup of american idol having stereotypes underdogs in the show. like the fat guy with good voice but no looks to boot(scott); or a single mom like fantasia; or the nerd that nobody ever gets to know his other cool side (anthony). just too many stereotypes! it's all manipulative pickings!
honestly, to me a pop idol, is someone with charisma, who can sing, and looks good, a good role model and bla bla bla... i don't think fat guys deserve to be an american idol.
Goodbye SCOTT. Vote the fat guy OUT. he reminds me of the guy who sits at the back of the class, alone and messy and smelly. with a hamburger in one hand!

scott savol tu yg aku tak berkenan bukanla psl paras rupa dia...tp attitude dia mcm kureng sketla. ingat lagi masa group ber3... dia mcm malas nak join n nampak selfish. pstu serius aje, susah nak senyum. org tngok pon takut n bosan. |

Exposure is one of the big factors.......3 out of 4 contestants that were eliminated didn't get equal or enough exposure like the others....the first audition is very important because it provides the background story & the judges opinion about the contestants....let's take the guys for example........Bo, Judd, Jared & Joseph's 1st audition weren't shown to the viewers before the top 24 started...
guys 1st audition (shown to viewers)
Anthony - background story - shouldn't be able to speak...but now, not only can he speak, he can sing very well too...and the the judges praised him
Anwar - music teacher, interviewed in the 1st audition., he's got visions about music .judges praised him...simon said "pure"....mark said "you're a star bro"...randy said "excellent"
Mario - the judges praised him...esp Paula "pure" comment & Simon "one of the bst" comment...i think that that's a big factor.....
Scott - background story - his father didn't believe in him, he impressed the judges.....
Travis - he impressed the judges too, esp Paula's complete package comment....he got the looks too....
David - Randy said that he's one of the best they yet this season....they have a llittle segment for David in the episode....
Nikko - his got his background story in....his father is a baseball hall of famers or something in St Louis.....
Constantine - background story - he went to the audition without the knowledge of his bandmates....
Bo did get some early exposure...he was shown in episode 7.....
early exposure is very important.....the size of a fanbase can be determined by it.......even if they didn't perform very well their fans will support & vote for them.......if they have a big fanbase, they have a big chance of staying in the competition....
exposure also meant that the viewers/fans knew that their fav. contestant's ability to perform...they can forgive one bad performance just cause they knew that their idol has performed better in previous auditions....

but she can't sing!

yeah ade yg betulnya...pastu saya ade baca gak la kt official american aidol forum..mmg diorg utarakan exposure...tp ade yg kata...what about Fantasia ngan Kelly..they were practically nobody sampai la...diorg bukak mulut nyanyi in the competition..then only ade org yg realise who they are..

maybe its all truly about presence or charisma and how good u look..talent tak brp penting until the finals..kalau tidak camner Amanda tu leh lepas :kant: |

i'm not sure about kelly.....but i'm pretty sure that fantasia dpt early exposure ......I remembered dia kat 1st round hollywood dulu.....rebel sket.......lebih kurang mcm mikalah gak.....so dier mmg stand out amongst the other contestants....

I think Mikalah tu std New Yorker ke apa ntah...accent dia mmg New Yorker cam the Nanny tu...
Mikalah...personally..sometimes i think shes a bit annoying..maybe some people can say 'fun'...tp gedik dia tu..ntahh....tak tahan la..at first aku gelak2 jugak laa...pastu dlm nyanyian dia ade cakap2 lak...bila dah selalu camtu....it tends to get boredd |

cuba ko berfikir secara logik.
logik tak orang gemuk menjadi american idol?
idol = idola = menjadi kepujaan ramai ramai...
orang gemuk... bolehkah ko mengidolakan orang gemuk.
tambahan pula, dia gemuk, pastu selekeh lagi!
adakah idola gemuk seorang role model yang baik untuk kanak2...
