Already generating buzz among audiences, the much-anticipated drama series When Life Gives You Tangerines (WT) is confirmed to air on Netflix. Featuring a stellar cast, including IU, Park Bo-gum, Moon So-ri, and Park Hae-joon, the series is set to showcase the talents of the renowned producer Kim Won-suk (Misaeng: Incomplete Life, Signal, My Mister) and screenwriter Lim Sang-chun (Becky’s Back, Fight for My Way, When the Camellia Blooms).
When Life Gives You Tangerines chronicles the adventures of Ae-sun, “the remarkable rebel,” and Gwan-sik, whose nickname means “unyielding iron,” in Jeju Island, including Gwan-sik’s long-standing crush on Ae-sun since they were young. The series’ Korean title pays homage to the Jeju dialect, translating to “thank you for your hard work,” lending cultural authenticity to the narrative.
IU beautifully embodies Ae-sun, a determined rebel who continuously defies her fate, marking this as her second collaboration with producer Kim Won-seok. Park Bo-gum brings Gwan-sik to life, a steadfast man who shows his sincere affection through his actions. Adding depth to the plot, Moon So-ri and Park Hae-joon portray the older versions of Ae-sun and Gwan-sik, respectively.
With heightened expectations due to its acclaimed creators and star-studded cast, When Life Gives You Tangerines is set to be a remarkable addition to the Korean original series lineup, coming exclusively to Netflix.

First still cut...Citer ni guna latar tahun 1950an...
watak IU & PBG ni nanti bila dah masuk 40/50 gitu akan dibawak oleh org lain (Moon Sori & Park Hae Joon)...
So iols tak rasa citer ni sad ending...mungkin citer pasal perjalanan hidup the main characters...

emosi turun naik je tgk citer ni…kejap sedih, kejap geram, kejap lawak…

1) watak Ae Sun yg ada views lain drpd kebykan wanita pada zamannya...dia buat ikut apa yg dia percaya...kalau dia rasa benda tu tak adil dia luahkan je...camtulah perangai dia dari kecik lagi e.g. masa dia menang undian jadi presiden tapi cikgu kelas dia suka2 je tukar budak lain yg jadi presiden sebab mindset diorg masa tu budak perempuan tak patut diangkat jadi ketua...nanti bila dah besar ke dapur jugak akhirnya...
2) first time tgk IU jadi mak2...Ae Sun kahwin umur 18 tahun...setakat episod 4, anak kedua dah on the way...
3) IU bawak 2 watak kat sini...yg jadi anak Ae Sun pun dia jugak...mcm Son Ye Jin dlm citer The Classic tulah...
4) Gwan Sik mewakili male lead dgn darjah loserism tertinggi pada tahun 1960an...dia punya hopelessly in love dgn Ae Sun tu tak blh bawak bincang sampai sanggup berenang merentas lautan sebab tak nak tinggalkan Ae Sun...bagusnya dia tak tunduk dgn kemahuan family dia yg suka treat Ae Sun mcm bibik lepas diorg kahwin...
5) Ae Sun ni walaupun nampak mcm degil sikit tapi sengal jugak orgnya...siapa je yg nak pakai topi renda2 besar camtu masa wedding?
